Tell us a bit about yourself
We are Danielle & Adam, (Lancashire lass & Yorkshire lad) British expat couple, who love teaching, travelling and sustainable crafting! When we’re not hosting workshops or teaching, we’re usually kayaking, finding another hidden waterfall or sinking a few tinnies at the beach!
What made you start your company?
Being teachers during the pandemic meant that our jobs and financial security were always at risk, we knew we wanted to start something we could take anywhere in the world so we turned my passion of upcycling and woodwork into our side gig!
Tell me about your product and brand?
CraftJunkieHK is focussed on sustainability and creativity, using all natural materials locally sourced around HK. With our pyrography and painting skills we turn recycled wood and tree slices into eco-friendly art! We host sustainable wood burning workshops on our rural rooftop in Peng Chau and have recently started stocking our products in sustainable pop up stores. Our biggest achievement is releasing our eco-friendly craft kits for kids, we combined our love of teaching, travelling and environmental awareness to create our first educational DIY kit.
