We are 100% local Hongkongers, we grew up in Hong Kong and we love all the traditional flavors in town. We love to eat spicy dishes, we have the same habits in exploring new opportunities. I studied public relations at my university and I found that starting a brand by myself would be much more interesting and meaningful!
What made you start your company?
As both of us are spicy lovers, our friends cannot eat spicy food. We thought that was too bad, and tried to investigate some sauce that could be suitable for a spicy-beginner. Siulamahk is a COVID-baby, since we have more time at home, and we found that home recipe sauce never being listed on the market. We got the same idea, let’s roll it out to the market, maybe more people can taste how amazing that spicy food is. Everything popped up in one night, and we did the first trial round within our inner group of our friends. We got unprecedented success and good reviews, which helps us build a strong foundation. We hope that the public can enjoy having spicy sauces and sharing love with all spicy lovers.
Tell me about your product and brand?
Siulamahk is a 100% handmade and local brand, we provide traditional sauces and food, eventually home-made taste that you will miss. We offered spicy, garlic sauces and Chinese wine abalone products. All of our products are handmade and freshly made, from ingredients selection, production, and packaging, we have a linear process that makes it smooth. Our brand name is “Siulamahk”, in Chinese including mothers. The reason is some of our recipes are from our family, and combine on a key element that is little spicy sauce for spicy beginners. By using this kind of signature name, we successfully drew public attention. Our top sale products are signature and abalone, you can taste all the freshness of the ingredients.
